A pigeon problem in PA

I was interviewed for this piece in the Philadelphia Inquirer on a battle over some pigeons roosting under a bridge. It’s a classic story of trying to keep pigeons away from a place they want to nest. These are persistent birds and they manage to find ways around deterrents all the time–but unfortunately in this case the birds ended up getting stuck behind some netting and dying. In a perfect world, we could determine where pigeons can and can’t go without actually harming them, but in reality it’s a tricky thing to do well.
